Wednesday's Lunch: Guzman Y Gumez Mexican Taqueria

It's Wednesday!  I kinda love Wednesday because it indicates that Friday is coming; However, talking about my classes on Wednesday, I can only shake my head.  I have behavioral science classes from 3.30-5.30pm, and that's it.  When my friends are going home waving goodbye to me at 3.30pm, I just gonna start the first lesson for the day.  HOW SAD.

So today we (Maddy, Mark, Vincent and I) had our lunch at Guzman Y Gumez Mexican Taqueria which is located along Albert Street at Brisbane CBD.  The restaurant is quite classy with the black wall, tables and yellow chairs.  Love it so much!

Mark's dish.

Maddy and I shared one dish because we already had something when we shopped at the Wednesday market. Corn chips, cheddar cheese, vegetarian black beans, Pico de Gallo salsa, guacamole and filling.  The spicy chicken nachos!  Both of us love it, considering the portion.
There are not too much corn chips served which means lower calories intake, after all we love the beans and chicken more.

Guess why I love it.
COS IT'S SO CHEESY!!!

The Grilled Spicy Chicken is so tempting.

Vincent's buritos.  Spicy Chicken Guerrero.
He was so quiet when we were chit-chatting.  "So spicy," he said, when he finished his dish.
Nah that is why he was not talking!!!

Check out their website http://www.guzmanygomez.com/ for further information, especially their menu!  I love mexican dishes so will definitely visit again.  Highly recommended if you want to have a try on mexican lunch or dinner! :)

Address:  142 Albert Street. Brisbane CBD, QLD 4000.Phone:  07 3199 1703

After lunch, we went to shop at Wednesday market again.  Bought three big boxes of fresh and juicy strawberries for only ten dollars.  Mark and I bought apples as well.  Non-stop eating for Wednesday, who cares about weight?  Tee-heeee.  OMG I love pesto and blue cheese dip.  The consequences of eating too much for lunch:  getting sleepy during classes.  I eventually fall asleep during lesson time and teacher intended to mark me absent!  LOL!

Anyway, Thank God for the awesome day with awesome friends and of course the awesome food!!!

Insta-talk.

I felt like an adult now, mom's birthday in two days; dad's in few months; mine in less than a year, to be a 19.
TIME HAS GONE IN A FLASH. I can't emphasis this enough. The foundation course gonna finish after three months, after the long holidays, we gotta motivate ourselves to go to every single university lectures.  No such thing known as attendance; nomore.

Imagine, if you can, the thirty-years-old you viewing your own, facebook, Instagram, twitter, and blog, the heady days of youth flickers...

Some random photos from Instagram.  I have been neglecting my blog for a week although I do keep an eye on others' blogs update everyday.
This is why I miss Miri so much.  25 degree celsius, not too cold yet not too hot.
if it's hot, there's aircond. :p

During the break, Maddy's masterpiece.

The weekend crave.  Dimsum with awesome people after church choir practice.

Love? :D

Found this little interesting machine at the park.  The cycle seat!

Yea did I tell you I ruined my art subject? :p

Smile Smile. :D

Eel and Cream Cheese sushi roll. The breakfast when I woke up late one day.
@Top Sushi

What about some chips during AE lessons?  and McDonald Ketchup.

Mom will definitely scream at me if I tell her, I was so sick last week because of this.
The culprit. :p but I love it.

Like how mom organized our high school uniform in the past!

I miss them, again.

Most of us were on FB page when we received this msg from teacher. :S

The heartbreaking news, it took me several days to acquiesce. :(

There comes another truth to be accepted...

I'm not expert at playing badminton, don't even know the rules for double players game :S But I love to play.  Two years ago, in the school hall, no respite from the suffocating heat, we're shouting, yelling, screaming at each other because we were tired of picking up the shuttlecock.  The days, when we pleaded for a PE lesson instead of a Physics.

And of course, those days, 2008 when I first knew about Lin Dan because of our beloved Dato' Lee Chong Wei.  I had no idea and no interest on Olympics Badminton Games.  Four years later, I was totally into it.  Yes, us, Malaysians all anticipated the first Gold medal, but you are more important!  Sad but not disappointed.  I could not help feeling a grudging admiration for you, we salute you!

Brisbane International Friendship Ceremony

It was the second day of semester two, we went to the International Students Friendship Ceremony at North Quay.  We met the Lord Mayor!

Let the pictures talk.
GUYS! Come to brisbane for further study!

FOOOOOOD

Brother Fof performance.

It was 'quite' fun.  Haha
Nothing much to say, cos I was so depressed when I saw the news about Bosco and Myolie broke up.
They are were the perfect match, been in a relationship for seven years!

Obviously my mood is affected by the shocking news.  I don't know why I just don't want them to break up!

The Hotpot

We (Maddy, Anis, SiChia, WeiLynn, Anthony, Ivan, Kelvin and Edison) had hotpot at Samuel's place last night!  Samuel & Anthony's place, to be exact.  Much fun, but sadly Angie, LeeLian and Jacqueline couldn't join us.

Maddy and I went to Sunnybank earlier to get all the food and we carried them all the way to the city, decided to take the 321 bus which stops in front of our school/the house, but we were too late!!!  The things were too heavy so both of us didn't actually want to walk uphill for 20 minutes carrying them.  We called the guys (S&A) to come and help us but guess what! They were so-not-gentleman!!!  nah KIDDING.  At last we waited for the bus until Anis came to pick us up!  Thank God.

Some random shots.

FINALLY WE GOT THERE AND COULDN"T WAIT TO GET STARTED.

The red wine that Samuel secretly kept.  I only had a sip and my body was darn itchy today.  Yes I am allergic to alcohol.
(Had sparkling juice as well)  I think I should only drink coke next time or just mineral water.

Mutton mutton!

The Chef Samuel made this sauce.  Basically the ingredients are garlic, chilli, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and oyster sauce.  (OH WHY KETCHUP? -.-)

Ivan was late and he had to go vegetarian cos we finished all the meat products. HAHA.
Clean-up job!

Felt like singing ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT

Instead of BATMAN, we did the SUPERMAN pose!

Meet the Johor, Sarawak(ME!) and the two Penang girls!
From left to right.

Anis's scarf. LOL

Say HI to Kuching girl Anis and Maddy the Johor girl a.k.a Singaporean? :p

Meet my new toy, the pig from Samuel. -.-

The driver for the night. Thanks ANis for sending us home! <3

FAIL.

FINALLY!!!

It was so fun last night, we were supposed to leave at 10pm but I had something else to do so I had to go at 7.30pm so we ended earlier.  Sorry Guys!  Thank God for our friendship there. Lots of fun with them at IES.  We've gone through the first semester so let us cherish the rest of the year in IES. Good luck! Next time kay, let's have a picnic! :D
