Prezi can zoom!

My English Presentation on 'Get Poetic' went well this morning.  I was the last one to get onto the stage to deliver my pitch during the lesson.  Still, as usual, feeling a bit scared at the beginning but I started to get entertained by my friends when I was half way through the pitch and did not feel nervous at all.  It was so funny.  I eventually laughed, well, I think I was the only one who laughed when I said, "Can you hear that?  Poetry says, Blink if you want me."

Doesn't it sound funny?  Anyhow, I did my presentation with the aid of prezi, instead of powerpoint.  Somehow I do not like powerpoint slideshow.  I blogged about prezi in August but that's just a brief introduction.  Prezi.com has launched the new program:  You can design your own theme!  Cool.  Prezi just makes your presentation fun and not-boring-at-all when the slides zoom-in and out.

My 'Get Poetic' pitch is all about an English song.  Count On Me, by Bruno Mars.  The task is to persuade the panel of the TV Show to accept the song to be presented on the show.  Meaning that I was on the fake TV show this morning!  Aha.

I used prezi during my presentation.  I did my prezi last night, spending only an hour.  If I use powerpoint I might need three hours to figure out how does it function.  Perhaps I should really learn how to use powerpoint during this holidays!  I only know how to insert a few transition, which I think was cool when I was young, not now.


Back to prezi.com,  it is a highly recommended presentation software.  What you need is just a laptop that can goes onto the network, access to its website and get started.  Firstly, you need to sign up, it's FREE.

Log in and you will get this page.
Click on"New Prezi".

Give your prezi a name and a short description if you want.

Choose a theme!  Normally I use the blank theme, you can add the [   ]  brackets, circles, arrows and other shapes while you're editing.  I prefer the blank theme mainly because of the simplicity.  It has white background!  You can also change the background colour if you want.

How about the newest feature?

And this is the newest feature!  You can choose the language and spot 中文!  Not the colours and fonts that you prefer?  Do not worry.  Go to 'Theme Wizard'.

I really like the design of the website, the control panel of the designing page is so cool, as shown as below. It rotates, rotates and rotates. :p

Cool right?  Your audience/listeners will never get boring with your zoom-in and out presentation.  In fact, I will get dizzy if I am the listener.  
Anyway, try new stuff.  Give it a go!
