I got the Biology assignment done before the night I was supposed to be doing it. Handed in this afternoon and felt a great sense of relief! As I mentioned before it is my last piece of assignment. Can you feel my excitement?
Year 11 is coming to an end. It is so hard to believe that I have actually gone through this year. 2011, which I thought will be a hard year for me. A whole new environment, you just need to adapt it. Well, it is hard. Anyway, the point is I've gone through all the obstacles because God is with me. He gives me his love through my friends and family.
2012 is coming. By the time I finish my foundation course, I NEED to make a decision on the courses that I gonna do in university. Wait, I should decide now, unfortunately I just do not know what courses are suitable for me. I wish I will not suffer headache before the moment comes. I should really think about my future now.
Doctor? Dentist? Nurse? Biochemist? Or.... Physicist?
I'm so poor in art side subjects. I have never done accounting or business in my previous life, except for the subtopics I learnt when I was Form Two. So, the only thing that I can be sure about myself is, I will go for Science related courses.
My father wants his daughter to be a doctor instead of nurse, so, medicine? My mother wants her daughter to be an engineer and also a business woman, so, a dual degree of engineering and business? Both of them take at least 5 years, medicine courses take 6 years I guess. Anyhow, time is not the problem. My parents respect my decision. Their advice is: Choose wisely. Choose what you want and choose what you think are suitable for you.
Yea, so true. It is my future, my parents cannot guide me forever. If I choose a career that doesn't suit my personality, I am sure that I will not work happily.
I did a quiz and this is the result.
This description is a generalisation. If it rings true, you've found your career type.
You would be very happy in a career that utilised your level-headedness, and allowed you to work mainly on your own. You want a career that allows you to stimulate your senses and your mind, without having to be involved with lots of people. Some careers that would be perfect for you are:

- Paralegal
- Geologist
- Marine Biologist
- Graphic Designer
- Online Content Developer
- Webmaster
- Computer Security

You like things to be laid out for you to do instead of working them out for yourself. You like decisions to be made. You don't like things to be left in limbo. Back to the topic, I am more interested in science related course. However, based on the analysis shown above, hmmmm, I can only find four or five careers that are more related to science. Vet? If you know me well, I am scared of animals. Yes I can deny that some of them are really cute, but I am scared of them. I was chased by a little dog when I was 9. It left a large impact on my life. I like dogs, but I just cannot overcome my emotion and hug them like my brother does. The another career is medical technician, which is also named as biomedical scientist. The scientist that is trained in biology but in a particular context of medicine. I have no comment on this career, but working in labs, sounds a bit boring.
I've been watching a Cantonese drama, named Forensic Scientist 3. It is the third drama of this series. The story line is good, to be honest, this drama triggers my interest on forensic science. The first drama of this series was released in 2008 and I was addicted to it. Followed by the second one, I was again inspired by the professionals in the drama. Once again I said my ambition is to be a forensic scientist.
Maybe, it is a dream. One of the questions in the quiz asked me "Are you a dreamer?" My answer was an equivocal NO. I believe in reality but I like day-dreaming. In reality, there are so many aspects that need to be put into considerations. Think twice, think carefully and think wisely. Think about the consequences. Think too much, perhaps?
So, what is the conclusion? My future is still an unknown. Just like a mathematics question, solve it. I will and I am, finding the solution every moment. It just takes time. Take your time! I don't suffer insanity after all.
